Alitalia, Adr: if crisis gets worse, ready to review Fiumicino development

Adr “renews its strong concern for the economic, financial and corporate situation of Alitalia, which could cause difficulties in maintaining the intercontinental and international connectivity of the national airline on the Italian market, to the detriment of its role as hub carrier". This was reported in a note from Aeroporti di Roma, released at the end of the board of directors meeting which today appointed the CEO of Atlantia Giovanni Castellucci as director, as part of the merger between Atlantia and Gemina.

“The deterioration of this situation would have serious economic, financial and employment impacts on the overall industry both in the short and long term, with a consequent reconsideration of the infrastructure development project at Fiumicino airport,” the note continues.
