Algorithms in art instead of painters and cinema 2018 on FIRST Arte

A canvas created by an algorithm instead of a real painter has been sold at a Christie's auction for $432: is this an exception or the start of a new trend among art collectors? This is what FIRST Arte is asking for - The review of the best that is in cinema 2018 is also not to be missed.

An algorithm has created a painting on canvas, the “Portrait of Edmond Belamy”, which was auctioned by Christie's for 432 dollars: is it an exception or a new trend in art collecting? This is what is being asked in this weekend's services FIRST Art, the site launched by FIRSTonline and dedicated to the world and the art market and cultural current events.

“For some time now – writes FIRST Arte – we have been witnessing, somewhat incredulous and somewhat curious, examples of art reinterpreted with the application of algorithms, or rather works of art without the intervention of a real painter. Or better still to works of art so technologically sophisticated that they seem to have been built ad hoc for a market of new generation collectors”

But it is not the only first fruits of FIRST Arte. Not to be missed is the 2018 review of cinema, all the best there is from The Post to Dogman. Even if for the big screen the trend is not comforting and Istat warns that cinema-going and theater attendance in Italy are in sharp decline.

Also interesting is the record-breaking auction that Christie's organized in New York to sell “La Lampe”, the work by Pablo Picasso dedicated to his clandestine love for Marie Therese and estimated at between 25 and 35 million dollars.
