Alex Del Piero throws away the shirt: the Milan restaurant does not hold up to Covid

The former Juventus champion had opened the second restaurant of his N10 chain (the first is in Los Angeles) in the Lombard capital last autumn: but now the crisis calls into question the reopening.

Hard times for restaurants, and the crisis doesn't even spare VIP clubs. In Milan, for example, Alessandro Del Piero's restaurant, N10, risks closing its doors: opened last autumn, a few months before the lockdown that inevitably upset its plans, the restaurant of the former Juventus and national team champion has communicated via its website that it does not yet know when it will reopen. “We inform our kind customers that N10 Milano has not yet decided on a reopening date. We invite you to consult the website for updates”, reads the press release, which however does not guarantee 100% that there will be a reopening. At the moment Del Piero has not expressed himself on the rumors that suggest a closure: the former footballer is located in Los Angeles, where he opened the first N2018 restaurant in 10.

Unlike the Milanese one, the California restaurant is regularly operational and even finds time for valuable solidarity initiatives: the last post on the official Instagram profile of the black and white number 10 announces the partnership with the non-profit St. Joseph Center to bring hot meals to the homeless hosted by the association. In the photo you can see Del Piero with a mask, in the company of the other people involved in the operation. The N10 restaurant in Los Angeles offers an interesting Italian-Asian fusion and has already obtained several awards, including the prestigious one from Gambero Rosso, which has included it in the guide Top Italian Restaurants, the one that rewards Italian cuisine abroad.

Unfortunately, the situation of the sign in Viale Monte Grappa in Milan is quite different. Among the specialties of the second "creature" of the entrepreneur Del Piero, before the closure due to the Coronavirus emergency, there were the "bites", bites cooked in show cooking by the chef Corrado Michelazzo, a Michelin star at the Hotel Bellevue in Cogne, and the special dough pizza prepared by master pizza maker Marcello Costanzo, who is famous for selecting and using only flours with a high degree of digestibility and quality raw materials. For now, customers will still have to wait.
