Alenia Aermacchi-Boeing: new agreement on the 787 programme

The Italian company has reached an agreement with the US company for the restructuring of the existing contract relating to the 787 program – Alenia Aermacchi, a Finmeccanica subsidiary, produces some components of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner in its Italian factories.

Boeing and Alenia Aermacchi, a subsidiary of Finmeccanica, have established an agreement for the restructuring of the contract relating to the 787 programme. The agreement, explains a note released by the companies, provides for a new management of the business based on performance, in such a way to implement the operational services of Alenia Aermacchi and the 787 programme.

Boeing has also confirmed to Alenia some orders for additional components to be produced within the scope of the contract's validity period, guaranteeing new stability to the industrial and business performance of the Italian company, which produces sections "44" and "46" of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner at the Monteiasi-Grottaglie plant (Taranto) and the horizontal stabilizers at the Foggia plant.
