Glencore poses an essential condition for the formal opening of a negotiation, which is now becoming difficult, for the acquisition of the Alcoa plant in Portovesme: the cost of energy for the next 10 years it must not exceed 25 euro/Mwh.
The Swiss multinational wrote it in a letter to the undersecretary to Economic Development, Claudio De Vincenti, and to the governor of the Region of Sardinia, Ugo Little hats.
Currently in Alcoa, thanks to specific laws passed in recent years, a rate of around 35 euros/MWh is guaranteed.
