Alcedo acquires Agrimaster through the Alcedo IV Fund

Alcedo Sgr, through the Alcedo IV Fund, invests 13,3 million euros for a majority stake in the share capital of Agrimaster, a leading company in the design, production and marketing of machinery and equipment for the agricultural sector, mainly dedicated to the preparation and soil treatment.

Alcedo took over the stake from B4 Holding I – SICAF managed by B4 Investimenti SGR – which held it since September 2014. Luciano Paiola, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, as well as shareholder of Agrimaster, will remain at the helm of the company, thus confirming his full involvement in business management.

With a consolidated turnover of approximately 27 million euros and an export quota of almost 80%, Agrimaster and its subsidiary Breviglieri operate through two production plants in Italy, located in Molinella (BO) and Nogara (VR). . Agrimaster was founded in 1984 by the Martoni family. Initially the company was active in the production and distribution of mulchers for the agricultural sector and has subsequently expanded its product range, which now also includes brush cutter arms and sprayers.

Following the acquisition by B4 Investimenti SGR and the entry of the new CEO, Ing. Luciano Paiola (top manager with thirty years of experience in the sector at an international level), Agrimaster continued along its path of growth and development, also through the important acquisition at the beginning of 2016 of Breviglieri, specialized, with over sixty years of history, in the production and marketing of equipment for soil preparation and, in particular, harrows and hoes. In recent years, the Group has grown steadily both in the domestic and international markets, consolidating its position as an important player in the sector and leader in the reference niches.

For Alcedo, however, this is the fifth investment with the Alcedo IV Fund, with an endowment of 195 million euros, the collection of which was completed in May 2016. Alcedo will support Agrimaster in its strategy of further geographical and commercial expansion, to be implemented both for internal lines and through further strategic acquisitions in Italy and abroad.
