Alcatel Lucent: 1,3 billion red, the CEO leaves

They close in deep red Alcatel Lucent 2012 accounts: in fact, in the full year, the French telecommunications group recorded a net loss of 1,374 billion euros, against a profit of 1,095 billion in 2011, with revenues at 14,446 billion, down 5,7% on an annual basis.

In the fourth quarter alone, the group's revenues amounted to 4,096 billion euros, down by 1,3% compared to the same period of the previous year. The net loss was 1,372 billion against a profit of 868 million in the fourth quarter of 2011.

To pay the price is the CEO of the French company Ben Verwaaten who, in a note, announced his early farewell, stating that he believes this is "the appropriate time" for changes at the top of Alcatel Lucent. No indiscretion, at the moment, on his succession.
