The Genoa Boat Show gets underway: fewer days but more tickets sold (despite the crisis)

The first Boat Show of the Mediterranean opened its doors this morning at 9.30, with the official inauguration (orphaned by Prime Minister Enrico Letta, lump sum for the vote of confidence) of the 180 square meters (100 in water) of the fifty-third edition.

A thousand boats, more than 100 novelties on display, the new edition was inaugurated by a sober ceremony, a simple welcome to the new beginning of a tradition that has lasted since the 5s, which was far from obvious a few months ago. More compact, almost entirely projected onto the sea and shorter (9 days instead of XNUMX), this year's boat show is completely different from previous editions. The 750 exhibitors who took up the challenge, according to the organizers, achieved cost savings of around 30% associated with better exhibition quality.

But despite the "diet" of exhibitors and products all sectors of the nautical sector will be represented, from motor boats – yachts and maxi yachts – to the world of sailing, from accessories and components to navigation instruments, from nautical clothing to the entire water sports sector. Just beyond the ticket offices (by the way, the pre-sale was a success: 20% more tickets sold compared to 2012), the itinerary begins with some stands and with the "red wall" to recall the logos of all the events of the past.
