Sunday of passion in the Italian skies. Sunday June 4th a s is plannedair transport strike which risks creating very strong inconvenience to travellers. Expected delays and cancellations which will also involve the very numerous passengers who will have to return home after the bridge on Sunday.
The strike was called by several trade unions including FILT, CGIL, FIT CISL and UGL – to ask for better wages and greater protection for handling workers. Ground workers of various airlines such as Air Dolomiti, Emirates, Vueling, American Airlines and Volotea will also participate in the strike.

There are several airlines that have already announced cancellations and rescheduling passengers on alternative flights.

Those who cross their arms are the workers of the handling companies, the workers of the aviation, airport and related airports sectors (from 00:01 to 23:59), the driving staff of Air Dolomiti (from 00:01 to 24:00), the ground staff of the company Emirates (from 12 to 16), the staff of Vueling Airlines ( from 00.01 to 24 hours), the ground staff of the company American Airlines (from 12 to 16) and the driving staff of Volotea (24 hours).
Two more local strikes called by the Cobas union are also planned for Sunday 4 June, one at the Rome Area Control Center and one at the Milan Area Control Center from 13 to 17 pm.
Stability two bands of guarantees: flights, including charter flights, scheduled to depart between 7-10 and 18-21 will be able to depart.
