It will not be easy, Friday February 9, travel by plane. One is expected air transport strike by the trade unions Ost Cub Trasporti, Osr Usb private work, Adl Varese and Flai transport and services, which will involve the entire sector, including airport operators and ground staff. Italy Airways, in response to this strike, announced the cancellation of 48 domestic flights, while maintaining all intercontinental flights regularly. Even employees of airport services companies associated with Assohandlers will join the protest, together with the airline's flight crew Air Dolomiti, who however will strike for 4 hours, from 12pm to 30pm.

THEENAC (National Civil Aviation Authority) has issued thelist of guaranteed flights during the strike days, establishing that the following flights must be operated regularly on Friday: all those, including charter flights, scheduled for departures in the time slots between 7 and 10 am, and between 18 and 21 pm; all charter flights to and from the islands, duly authorized or notified before the strike announcement date; all state, military, emergency, medical, humanitarian and rescue flights. Finally, the following connecting flights with the Italian islands which have only one daily frequency, with the exclusion of continental traffic:

Aircraft strike 9 February, Ita Airways: 48 domestic flights cancelled
Due to the 24-hour strike scheduled for Friday 9 February 2024, as mentioned, Ita Airways was forced to cancel 48 domestic flights, while still managing to guarantee all international and intercontinental flights (with the exception of flights AZ 221 and AZ 222 from London to Milan Linate and return).
The company invites passengers who have purchased a ticket for the day of the strike to check the status of their flight before going to the airport, via the company website in the Flight Info section, or by directly contacting the travel agency from which they purchased the ticket.
