Yet another Friday of strikes in Italy. Friday 24 November those traveling by plane could suffer severe inconvenience due to one air transport strike announced by the unions Flai, Usb, Ost Usb, Cub. The protest will involve workers of airport handling services companies, employees of air transport companies in the handlers sector, workers in the aviation, airport and related airport sectors. At the same time, workers from the Northern Regions will also go on strike, in another protest called by CGIL and UIL.

Enac, the national civil aviation body, reports that the strike will last 24 hours: it will start at 00:01 on November 24th and will end at midnight on the same day. Two are foreseen, as established by law guarantee bands: from 7am to 10am and from 18pm to 21pm, during which flights must still take place.

Ita Airways has canceled 42 domestic flights, of which 36 are scheduled for November 24, 2023. However, international flights that remain operational are guaranteed. The airline says other flights scheduled for Friday may be modified or delayed.

The other strike on Friday 24 November
But on Friday there will not only be the air transport strike. CGIL and UIL have promoted a mobilization to "raise wages, to extend rights and to counter a budget law that does not stop the dramatic impoverishment of workers, male and female pensioners and does not offer a future to young people", the acronyms say trade unions.
The protest will concern the workers of the regions of Northern Italy: Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Trentino Alto Adige, Val d'Aosta and Veneto.
