This would be the negative impact of Alitalia on the half-yearly accounts of Air France-KLM, at least according to the report of the Franco-Dutch group (Alitalia's leading shareholder with 25%) which is therefore preparing to review the value of "goodwill" of the Italian participation.
"Taking into account the negative contributions of Alitalia in recent years - reads the group document -, the value of the goodwill will be tested on the basis of the new medium-term plan finalized in the second half of the year by the management of Alitalia". During the first quarter, the Italian company recorded a loss of 157 million euros. The board meeting for the approval of the second quarter accounts will be held in August.
