A greater appetite for risk than in October. But, to temper the enthusiasm, the greater volatility of the European markets compared to the USA provides. This is, in summary, the verdict of the "panel strategist" of the Italian Association of Financial Analysts, whose results will be illustrated and discussed in the second part of the AIAF conference on "Perspectives for the current year", to be held on Thursday 24 in Milan at the Aula Magna of Unicredit, in via Tommaso Grossi 10 starting at 14 pm.

The day will open with a round table dedicated to the problems and opportunities of 2013, in which bankers, economists, entrepreneurs and business consultants will discuss each other. Among these Roberto Nicastro, general manager of the Unicredit group, Gregorio De Felice, chief economist of Intesa Sanpaolo, Aldo Fumagalli Rosario, CEO of the Sol group, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and Nicola Pianon, senior partner of the Boston Consulting Group.

In the second part, Giacomo Fedi, head of the panel strategist, will explain the results of the survey based on the model developed by AIAF which does not limit itself to operating on the basis of performances but aims to optimize the relationship between the highest return and the lowest risk for the 'investor. This concern serves to explain the greater caution with respect to the results of other panels: the volatility of the Italian market (27%) compared to the European one (22%) and, above all, to the American S&P index (17%) advises not to overweight the exposure to equities or high yield securities.

The prospects of the financial markets will also be the subject of reports by Maria Paola Toschi, market strategist at JP Morgan asset management and by Marco Vailati, head of research and investments at assa Lombarda.
