Agritalk: Unicredit focuses on agriculture with a dedicated model

UniCredit bets on agriculture. In fact, the banking group believes in the role of agri-food as a driving force for the country's growth and is making an effort to support it at 360 degrees. With reference to companies with a turnover of up to 5 million, the bank has over 34 client companies operating in the agricultural sector, and disburses credit for almost 2 billion euros, the majority of which in support of medium-long term investments.

On Tuesday, on the occasion of Agritalk, held at the UniCredit Tower Hall, the bank presented "UniCredit for Agriculture", the new service model of the Italian commercial network, and the UniCredit products to support the sector: from dedicated services, to employment of specialized managers, over 140 nationwide, from specific analyzes of the food supply chains to training and promotion activities that respond to the requests that emerge from the territories in which the bank is engaged every day.

The goal, says the banking group, is a constant dialogue between farms and the bank, which makes it possible to find the most suitable financial solutions to meet the needs associated with the various production phases of the company. Including the 'Riserva' product, for the refinement and maturing of quality Made in Italy products, or support to the agri-food chains for the enhancement of their economic potential. The agri-food sector generates a turnover of 50 billion euros and contributes 2% to the total added value (Istat data), confirming an anti-cyclical trend thanks to a growth of 3,5%, from 2008 to 2016, against of a 13,6% decline in the industrial sector.
