Farmers: protest slows down. The Government launches the tax credit for green purchases

The promise of a technical table with the government dampens the tractors' protest. Most of the farmers abandoned the garrison on the outskirts of Rome, not without internal controversies between the groups involved in the demonstrations in recent days.

It was almost a given that the protest would end as soon as the government showed openness. The turnabout of the European Commission on qualifying points of the Gren Deal has, moreover, set an example. But the good news also comes in pairs. It's the same government as Giorgia Melons which through the Ministry of the Environment has made the list known 406 companies which is entitled to the 36% tax credit for green operations.

The circular economy is also in agriculture

In the list, agricultural companies are in the majority, ready to take a nice slice of 6 million 700 thousand euros. All 406 companies will be reimbursed for part of the annual expenditure incurred for the purchase of finished products made with recycled material. The benefit goes to the micro, small and medium-sized businesses that have purchased products coming from the separate collection of plastic, biodegradable and compostable packaging in paper, cardboard and aluminum wood. In the agricultural field there are all types of businesses. But this means recognizing their attention to green, circular economy policies, implemented in Italy with the consent of the European Union.

In the past weeks, therefore, some slogans against the bad EU and sustainable policies could and should have been avoided. The link between agriculture and ecological transition is not lost on us, despite the food sovereignty accredited in the tractor parades which intends to cover up accumulated errors. The tax credit is recognized up to a maximum amount of 20 thousand euros for each year 2019 and 2020. "For the implementation of the measure - explains the Ministry of the Environment - an overall allocation of 12 million euros. In detail there are 1 million euros for the years 2020, 2021 and 10 million for the year 2023. The list of 406 companies is the first. Other questions are under consideration and there will be a second list.
