Enel X, the Enel Group business line dedicated to innovative products and digital solutions, and UniCredit have signed an agreement for the financing of seismic safety measures and energy requalification of residential buildings in Italy. A heritage that counts 550.000 condominiums with more than 8 residential units (410.000 located in the central north and 140.000 in the south), of which over 155.000 built before 2006.
The agreement provides for the granting by UniCredit of subsidized forms of financing that guarantee maximum savings for condominiums adhering to Enel X's ViviMeglio offer, which includes, among others, the installation of the soundproofing coat and thermal of the building.
In detail, condominiums can take advantage of the incentives Ecobonus and Sismabonus recovering up to 85% of the expenses incurred for energy improvement and seismic safety measures, transferring all tax deductions to Enel X. The agreement with UniCredit aims to strengthen the initiative, financing the amount to be supported for the part of the investment exceeding the benefits provided by the tax bonuses with loans with a maximum duration of 10 years, at fixed or variable rates. With this solution, condominiums will be able to take advantage of competitive rates and enjoy certain and reduced times for the conclusion of the loan applications, making use of specific products and procedures for the sector. Furthermore, in the event of transfer of the tax deductions to Enel X and bank financing for the residual portion, the condominium will not have to pay any advance for the execution of the works, but only the payment of the repayment installments of the loan.
