Agcom: the drop in telecommunications revenues continues, -1,4%

The Agcom annual report describes the drop in telecommunications revenues, which went from 9,02 billion euros in 2010 to 8,89 billion in 2011, with a drop of 1,4% – The percentage of revenues on GDP is down, from 2,71% to 2,57% – Investments and household spending are also reduced.

It continues, in 2011, the decline in telecommunications revenues, thus following up on the contraction of the previous two-year period. This was revealed by Agcom's annual report, which states that "there has been a slight reduction in the weight of the sector compared to the main macroeconomic factors".

Revenues of the sector fell from 9,02 billion euros in 2010 to 8,89 billion, with a drop of 1,4%. The percentage of revenues on GDP, moreover, it went from 2,71% in 2010 to 2,57%, accompanied by a drop in investments, which went from 4,16% of GDP to 3,98%, and in household spending, from 2,31% to 2,21%.
