Aerospace: 30 billion operation in the USA

Great maneuvers in the United States aerospace. United Technologies buys Rockwell Collins for 23 billion dollars, which rises to 30 billion if the latter's debt stock is considered. Rockwell shareholders will get $140 per share, partly cash and partly stock.

From an industrial point of view, the operation creates the largest supplier for the aircraft manufacturers Boeing and Airbus: United Technoligies will become able to supply from the engines of the subsidiary Pratt & Witney to the avionics systems of Rockwell Collins.

United Technologies has announced that its aerospace operations will be combined with Rockwell Collins in a new business unit to be called Collins Aerospace Systems and will be led by Kelly Ortberg, current CEO of Rockwell Collins.
