Yesterday, Friday 29 September, at the Congress Center ofTurin Industrial Union the AMMA conference was held, the product group that brings together the main mechanical and mechatronic companies of Turin, entitled "One hundred years of aerospace industry between past, present and future".

A conference that was an opportunity for to celebrate the first century of life ofair Force and Italian aerospace industry.

Aerospace industry: 350 companies with a turnover of 7 billion

The event was attended by protagonists of this strategic sector for the local economy, which represents one of the main national centers for design and production.

This industry consists of approx 350 companies, including large multinationals and small and medium-sized enterprises, with a turnover of 7 billion of euros and over 22.000 employees.

The event was introduced by Stefano Serra, vice-president of the Industrial Union and president of the AMMA and by Fulvia Quagliotti, president of the Piedmont Aerospace District.

The interventions

Serena Fumagalli then presented research carried out by the Studies and Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo, while the past, but above all the present and the development prospects of the Italian aerospace industry were the topic at the center of the round table moderated by Pietro Mulatero (Amma) with Cristiano Montrucchio, head of Leonardo Aircraft Engineering, Riccardo Procacci, president and CEO of Avio Aero, Walter Cugno, vice president of Exploration and Science Thales Alenia Space, Andrea Romiti, vice president of Amma and CEO of APR. The conclusions were entrusted to General Fabio Sciorella, deputy technical director of ARMAEREO.

During the event, Serena Fumagalli presented research carried out by the Studies and Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo. Subsequently, a round table moderated by Pietro Mulatero (Amma) addressed the past, present and development prospects of the Italian aerospace industry, with the participation of Cristiano Montrucchio (Leonardo Aircraft Engineering Manager), Riccardo Procacci (president and CEO of Avio Aero), Walter Cugno (vice president Exploration and Science Thales Alenia Space), Andrew Romiti (Amma vice president and APR CEO). The conclusions were presented by the General Fabio Sciorella, deputy technical director of ARMAEREO.
