Guglielmo Marconi Airport of Bologna has chosen Barabino & Partners as advisor for communication in view of the listing of the airport on the Stock Exchange.

The operation – which sees Banca IMI in the role of coordinator of the global offer; Joint Bookrunner for the institutional placement and as placement manager for the public offering; Intermonte in the role of Joint Bookrunner of the institutional placement and sponsor; Lazard as financial advisor to the Company – is subject to the positive outcome of the investigation presented to Borsa Italiana and Consob and will take place through a public offer for subscription and sale.

The airport – recalls Barabino in a note – is today the seventh Italian airport by number of passengers, with approximately 6,6 million users in 2014, of which over 70% on international flights. Located in the heart of the food valley and the automotive and packaging industrial districts, Marconi has a catchment area of ​​10,7 million inhabitants and approximately 47.000 companies; an economy with a strong propensity for exports and commercial expansion policies towards Eastern Europe and Asia.

In 2014, 99 destinations were reached, thanks to the presence of the major European flag carriers and the main low-cost carriers. The close link with the hubs of the Continent also make Bologna the fourth airport in Italy for global connectivity and the first in Europe in terms of connectivity growth in the decade 2004-2014.
