Enav announces that a double national strike will take place on Tuesday 8 May – A shower of mobilizations is also arriving at the local level, including at the Rome airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino

Double strike arriving at Italian airports. On Tuesday 8 May, announces the National Flight Assistance Agency (Enav), two national mobilizations are planned:

  • from hours to 10 18, called by the trade union organizations Filt-Cgil, Uil Trasporti and Unica;
  • from hours to 13 17, called by Fit-Cisl and Ugl-Ta.

But it's not over. In addition to the national strikes, several local strikes were also called for Tuesday 8 May:

  • at the airport of Rome-Fiumicino from 10 to 18, organized by Ugl-Ta and Unica;
  • at the Area Control Center of Toast, from 13 to 17, two separate mobilizations are planned by Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Ugl-Ta, Unica, Assivolo Quadri and Uil Trasporti;
  • at the Area Control Center of Milano from 13 to 17 organized by Unica;
  • at the Area Control Center of Padova from 13 to 17 organized by Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uil Trasporti, Ugl-Ta and Unica.
  • at the airport of Cagliari from 13 to 17 two strikes called by Fit-Cisl and by Unica;
  • at the airport of Catania from 13 to 17, organized by Fit-Cisl, Uil Trasporti and Unica;
  • at the airport of Ciampino from 13 to 17, organized by Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uil Trasporti, Ugl-Ta and Unica;
  • at the airport of Lamezia Terme from 13 to 17, organized by Unica;
  • at the airport of Palermo from 13 to 17 organized by Fit-Cisl, Uil Trasporti and Unica.

"The essential services - underlines the company that controls the control towers of Italian airports - will be guaranteed".

During the strikes, Enav explains, “there are the protection time slots, from 7 to 10 and from 18 to 21, in which flights must still be carried out. Furthermore, detailed information on the operation of one's flight can be requested from the relevant airline”.
