Aircraft, China Airlines-Virgin alliance

From now on, travelers who take China Airlines flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco will be able to extend their trip to other American destinations.

Taiwan's largest airline, China Airlines, has launched a code-share service with US carrier Virgin America to boost its service within the United States. From now on, travelers who take China Airlines flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco will be able to extend their trip to other American destinations. A total of 17 destinations are covered by the codeshare service, including New York, Washington, DC, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas and Las Vegas. The Taiwanese airline hopes the program, which allows passengers to use different airlines sharing the same flight, while adding flexibility to itineraries, could help boost passenger volume to the United States.
