ADMINISTRATIVE ELECTIONS – The Democratic Party wins in Trento and Aosta, the League doubles the votes, Fi collapses

The Pd wins, the League rejoices, Forza Italia cries. The administrative elections of May 10, the antechamber of the most tempting regional elections at the end of the month, assign the mayors of Trento and Aosta and the ballot in Bolzano to the Democratic Party in the first blow. A good success in areas not traditionally close to Pd but with lower consensus than that gathered at last year's European elections in an electoral session that signals an overall drop in turnout.

The League rejoices, which doubles the votes compared to the previous administrative elections. The 5 Star Movement is also doing well. Forza Italia collapses, which is at an all-time low with a percentage of votes below 4%.

A Trento the Democratic Party Alessandro Andreatta becomes mayor in the first round with 53,7% against the 31% of the CIA supported by the Lega, Fdi and Forza Italia.

A Bolzano the ballot will be between the outgoing mayor, Luigi Spagnolli of the PD who obtained 41,58% in the first round and Alessandro Urzì of Forza Italia who collected 12,7% but which could include 10,67% of the League which in the South Tyrolean capital he doubled his votes.

Ballot also a Rovereto between the Pd list and another center-left list while the Svp collapses in Vipiteno and San Candido.

Finally ad Aosta the new mayor will be Pd Fulvio Centoz, Renziano of the first hour.
