Adidas, turnover falls more than expected in the first quarter: -2%, to 3,751 billion

Revenue decreases Adidas: the leading European sportswear group from Germany reported a 2% reduction in its turnover in the first quarter, mainly due to the well-known and persistent problems of one of its brands, Reebok, and also to the absence of major sporting events in the winter season.

The second largest group in the world after Nike therefore saw its turnover drop to 3,751 billion euros: slightly worse than the forecasts of analysts who predicted a figure of 3,78 billion. The operating margin instead increased by 8% to 442 million, above the forecasts which gave 421 million.
