These are the last hours of Lucifer, the seventh subtropical anticyclone. In the afternoon, 38° will still be touched in Emilia, Tuscany, Lazio, Sicily, Calabria, Puglia and Veneto, but by evening in the North the first thunderstorms will arrive in the Alps and Piedmont, towards the Lombard lakes, the Varese area, and as far as the gates from Milan.
The real change in temperatures, however, will take place tomorrow evening with the arrival of Beatrice, the long-awaited storm at the end of August which will ease the heat and bring rain, but also locally storms with hail.
According to the forecasts of ilmeteo.it, violent thunderstorms with hail from the Alps will descend on Lombardy on Saturday evening. During the night a "storm line" will form which will split into two parts: the first will go towards Liguria, the second towards the Triveneto. Always at night there could be strong thunderstorms in Milan, Novara, Alessandria and Genoa. Sunday will be the turn of the Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, where a risk of storms over Gorizia and Trieste is expected in the early afternoon.
But rains are also expected in the Center: in Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio, with rapid downpours also in Rome. Thunderstorms and hail from the North-East could break into Emilia Ferrarese and the Marches.
The mistral will also be present on Sardinia. Temperatures during the storms will be up to 10 degrees cooler than on previous days. From Monday the serene will return everywhere, but the climate will be milder thanks to the Tramonatana and Bora winds from Trieste towards the Adriatic regions: temperatures will drop, returning to the averages.
From Tuesday, however, a new late summer heat wave will arrive, but fortunately it will not last long: more rains and thunderstorms are expected for Friday 31 August and Saturday XNUMX September which will bring the first autumn perturbation to Italy.
