Acqua Roma: Acea does not turn off the taps (for now)

The decision came following the evaluation of the company's technicians who, after the rains of the last few days, blocked the water pressure reduction plan at night - The analyzes will be carried out daily, to understand when and if to start the project.

No reduction in water pressure in Rome at night. Given the rains, Acea postponed the activation of the water reduction plan from 23.30 pm to 5.00 am which should have started today in 90 areas of the capital.

The decision came following the evaluation of the company's technicians who, after the rains of the last few days, decided to block the start of the project aimed at stemming the Roman water crisis that exploded more than a month ago. The analyzes will be carried out daily, to understand when and if to start the project.

The stand-by was also determined by other factors, including the effect of the network leak recovery activity carried out by Acea technicians which made it possible to recover approximately one thousand liters per second in the last two, three months of water.

Not only that, the drop in temperatures that began over the weekend has also caused citizens to use less water. Finally, the latest rains that naturally 'watered' orchards and gardens resulted in further water savings, ACEA sources say.
