Acea: the "Digital Generation" program starts

Acea launches "Digital Generation", the new format dedicated to the training and orientation of young people towards the world of work. The course will take place in digital mode and will involve about 480 students in 4 Regions (Lazio, Umbria, Campania and Tuscany) and has the objective of promoting the values of sustainability and respect for the environment to the new generations.

Once again this year, the Acea Group is launching its Path for Transversal Skills and Orientation (formerly school-to-work alternation), to provide young people with the skills necessary to enter the job market, alternating hours of study with hours of training .

The course, born in collaboration with the ELIS consortium in continuity with the "IdeAzione" and "La Scuola che voglio" programs, this year it takes place entirely in a digital version (due to the Coronavirus pandemic) and has the aim of bringing young people closer to the themes of sustainability and the protection of environment, inviting us to think about the contribution that innovation can offer for the protection of natural resources.

Participants will be guided throughout the project by Sustainability Ambassador Acea, promoters of the culture of sustainability and the circular economy, who will be entrusted with the task of accompanying young people in discovering these topics.

In addition, the final phase of the project involves a creative marathon”Digital Creator”, during which students will be asked to respond to a challenge for the definition of a new development model centered on the conscious use of natural resources. The boys, divided into mixed teams, will be supported by the ELIS team in the Design Thinking process, which will end with the presentation of innovative and sustainable ideas, thanks to which it will be possible to win.

This path represents a further opportunity for the Group to nurture the virtuous exchange between school and company started in the previous paths, stimulating the interest and motivation of the young people who, with their ideas, can become engine of social, economic and environmental innovation.
