Sace-FederProgetti agreement

The objective of the agreement between Sace and FederProgetti is to strengthen the competitiveness of Italian engineering and plant engineering companies

Sace-FederProgetti agreement

An agreement was signed today in Rome between Sace and FederProgetti aimed at supporting companies in the civil and infrastructural engineering and industrial plant design chain

Concretely, a series of joint technical and commercial initiatives will be launched which will involve over 2.000 companies associated with the Federation of Italian plant engineering companies, to access Sace's insurance and financial offer. In addition to the classic insurance products against credit risks, the promotional initiatives will also include instruments for the protection of foreign investments and the new factoring services managed by Sace Fct.

For Castellano, CEO of Sace, "the criticality of the economic situation requires concrete response actions and a stronger dialogue with businesses". The Chief Executive Officer underlined his satisfaction with the partnership with FederProgettiche "which has been able to bring together a broad chain of avant-garde sectors oriented towards international markets which alone represent around a third of the portfolio of transactions insured by Sace in the 2011, for a total value of approximately €8 billion.”

Fabrizio Di Amato, President of FederProgetti, has identified expansion on global markets as the key strategy for the economic recovery of the sector. The agreement between the Association and Sace should therefore be viewed from this point of view, which will facilitate Italian companies in the internationalization process, allowing the plant engineering sector to open up new outlets for production and therefore take advantage of growth opportunities.
