Intesa Sanpaolo – Rete Imprese Italia agreement: credit limit of 5 billion to SMEs

The objectives are the support of working capital to facilitate corporate liquidity, to continue with debt consolidation and medium and long-term repositioning, support for start-ups and the strengthening of assets, enhancement of the guarantees of the Confidi.

Intesa Sanpaolo – Rete Imprese Italia agreement: credit limit of 5 billion to SMEs

It is coming from Intesa Sanpaolo a ceiling of loans for 5 billion euro in favor of SMEs. This is the result ofagreement signed today between the banking group and Rete Imprese Italia, which guarantees continuity to the collaboration already started last year. The 2,6 million companies are involved, employing over 11 million people and represent 60% of the workforce in Italy.

"With Rete Imprese Italia - underlined the deputy general manager of Intesa Sanpaolo, Marco Morelli - we have renewed a path of collaboration that looks to the development and future of small businesses, the engine of the economy of this country".

For the president of the Italian business network, Marco Venturi, the agreement is "dedicated, among other things, to some fundamental needs for businesses, starting from support of working capital to facilitate corporate liquidity, to continue with debt consolidation and medium- and long-term repositioning. The agreement is also useful in the direction of offering support to new entrepreneurship (start-up) and to strengthening assets. Another common working theme is certainly that of enhancement of the guarantees of the Confidi".

The document signed today defines some guidelines. Subsequent agreements at local level between Rete Imprese Italia and Intesa Sanpaolo will respond to particular needs. The 21 Banks belonging to the Intesa Sanpaolo Group will provide a network of local contacts.
