Alitalia-union agreement: cash flows down to 1600 units

There will be 1600 Alitalia workers involved in the renewal of the extraordinary redundancy fund (cigs), which will be valid from November 1st to April 30th.

Following the technical meeting between union representatives and the company, the terms of the agreement changed. Initially Alitalia had proposed the involvement of 1800 employees. Compared to the initial proposal, the number of workers on zero-hour layoffs also drops, going from 400 to 320 with the possibility of reducing the six-month period.

The reduction mainly concerns ground personnel, who from the 1.230 envisaged in the extraordinary redundancy fund, now drop to 1.030. Numbers unchanged for pilots, who will be 190 and for flight attendants at an altitude of 380.

The agreement entered into with the Ministry of Labor also provides for retraining courses for zero workers and monitoring to verify that the distribution of the extraordinary redundancy fund is fair among the flight crew.
