Abi, the home mortgage market restarts: +29,4%

The home loan financing market has restarted. This was indicated by the ABI with the data updated at the end of September. Disbursements for new mortgages in the first nine months of 2014 amounted to over 17,7 billion euros, an increase of 29,4% compared to the same month in 2013.

The figure is even better than in the nine months of 2012 when the amount of new home loans exceeded 15 billion euros
The data emerges from a sample of 84 banks which represents around 80% of the entire Italian market.

Above all, variable-rate mortgages are on the increase, indicates the Abi, which represent, in the first nine months of 2014, 79,4% of the total new disbursements. The percentage of variables grew compared to the same period of 2013 and 2012 (69,4%).
