The banking association reports a 97,4% growth in new home loans in the first 11 months of the year. The incidence of subrogations is approximately 32%

Abi: doubles the disbursement of mortgages in 2015

In the first 11 months of 2015, new mortgage disbursements for the purchase of properties by households recorded an annual increase of +97,4% compared to the same period last year. This was highlighted by the ABI on the basis of a representative sample of banks (representing over 80% of the market). In more detail, the data relating to the period January-November 2015 – reads a note – highlight the strong recovery of the market for loans to households for the purchase of homes. In the period January-November 2015, the amount of disbursements of new mortgages was equal to 44,340 billion euros compared to 22,465 billion in the same period of 2014. The incidence of subrogations on the total of new loans is equal, in the first 11 months of 2015, to around 32%.

 The amount of new mortgage disbursements in 2015 - continues the note - is even higher than both the figure for the same period of 2013, when it amounted to 17,123 billion euros, and the value for the first eleven months of 2012 (18,794 billion EUR). In the first eleven months of 2015, variable-rate mortgages accounted for 43,7% of total new disbursements; in recent months there has been a sharp increase in fixed-rate mortgages which reached almost 2015% of new disbursements in November 65, down from 25% twelve months earlier.
