The president of Banca Carige, Cesare Castelbarco Albani, will take the place of Giovanni Berneschi in the bodies of the ABI. The board of directors of the Ligurian institute has unanimously designated Castelbarco as its representative on the board and in the executive committee of the association.
Berneschi, former president of Carige, is under house arrest and is being investigated in the investigation by the Prosecutor of Genoa with the hypotheses of aggravated fraud, transnational criminal association, fictitious registration and money laundering.
