Abertis: Atlantia's offer is good but asks for a raise on the price

The Board of Directors of the Spanish company judges the offer of the Benetton group as "interesting", but the price could be improved. And it reserves the right to await the decisions of the Spanish Consob on the Acs counter-takeover bid

Atlantia's offer on Abertis "is positive" but the price can be "improved". The board of directors of the Spanish group discloses the result of yesterday evening's meeting which was convened to evaluate the offer of the Italian group, before the against takeover bid launched by Acs by Florentino Perez through Hochtief.

"Taking into account the terms and characteristics, the offer is evaluated in a positive and attractive way from an industrial point of view, however, consider that the value of the cash offer can be improved" writes the board of directors, who unanimously voted this judgment and it also decided not to accept, at this stage, Atlantia's offer with treasury shares, equal to 7,958% of the share capital.

Abertis also specifies that the decisions of the Spanish Consob on the counter-offer are now awaited and will comment later on the proposal received yesterday.
