The first quarter of 2014 of A2A is archived, which closed with a net profit growing by 5,3% to 80 million and with debt, equal to 3,721 billion, which decreased by a further 153 million compared to the end of 2013 The results of the Lombard multi-utility, reads the note released by the company, "were also achieved thanks to the further positive contribution of the operational efficiency plan in progress, which made it possible to counteract the economic situation in the electricity sector which remains very negative" . 

In fact, the group's revenues decreased by 138 million compared to the first quarter of last year, settling at 1,451 billion. In the calculation, the contraction in the sales of energy for heating use due to the high temperature recorded in the period weighs. EBITDA was also down, to 305 million (328 million in the first quarter of 2013). 

Meanwhile, in the late morning, the A2A share dropped more than 1% in Piazza Affari, in line with the negative day of the Italian stock market.
