On a positive day for the Milan Stock Exchange, the Lombard utility A2a was among the most prominent stocks, which around 13pm gained around 3,5% in the 1,25 euro per share area. The reason? A quarterly which, despite the energy scenario largely penalized by the coronavirus crisis, sees more than positive accounts, with in particular the net profit rising by 8% to 112 million euros. On the other hand, the note communicates, revenues fell by 19% to 2,11 billion, but on the other hand the EBITDA remained essentially stable at 331 million euros (from 328 million in the first quarter of 2019). The Net Operating Income, equal to 196 million euros, is down by only 1 million euros compared to the first three months of 2019 (197 million euros).

Investments grew by 13% to 123 million, while the net financial position stood at 3,297 billion: excluding the change in scope - specifies the company - it would be 3,157 billion and therefore in line with the end of 2019: "Despite the context characterized by a drop in demand and highly critical price dynamics, the results were in any case satisfactory", A2a pointed out, underlining that at present - even if it is believed that the lockdown will still have an impact in the coming quarters – expects to achieve positive and satisfactory economic results in 2020 substantially in line with expectations, as well as to maintain a balanced capital structure. “We will reach the targets despite Covid”, the press release points out
