A2A, new CEO appointments: Milan proposes Cao, while Brescia focuses on continuity with general manager Ravanelli

Final tightening on the appointment of the managing director of A2A, which will take place at the same time as the return from dual to traditional governance, on the occasion of the meeting on June 13th. At the moment, the Municipality of Milan and that of Brescia, which will have to identify a 'shared' company manager, remain in distant positions, while the agreement seems to have been made on the president Giovanni Valotti.

In the last few hours Palazzo Marino would have proposed the candidacy of Stefano Cao to Brescia, already present on the management board of A2A and with a past in Eni (where he was general manager of the Exploration and Production division) and in Sintonia, the holding company of the Benetton family. On the contrary, Brescia focuses on continuity and for some weeks already expressed its preference for the current general manager Renato Ravanelli, who led the integration with Edipower and the reduction of the company's debt of over 1 billion in the last year and half.

The deadline for the presentation of the lists is next Monday and already today there should be a new contact between the two administrations with the aim of reaching an agreement. It is not excluded that, in the end, there may also be convergence on a third candidate. In this sense, there are those who interpret Cao's proposal from Milan as a move of negotiating value.

Around 16,30 pm the stock lost 1,15% on the Stock Exchange.
