A2A and Iren: no offer to the Municipality of Turin for Trm and Amiat

The deadline for presenting a binding offer for the two companies in the hands of the Municipality of Turin expires today – Both A2A and Iren had made non-binding proposals and had requested an extension on the auction deadline.

A2A and Iren: no offer to the Municipality of Turin for Trm and Amiat

The auction called by the Municipality of Turin for the the sale of 80% of Trm (the company that manages the waste-to-energy plant under construction in Gerbido) and 49% of Amiat (company that deals with garbage) for a total amount of 182 million euros.

In fact, the deadline for presenting a binding offer expires today, but it appears very probable that neither Iren nor A2A will put a proposal on the table. In the past, the two multi-service companies had formulated non-binding offers for the assets held by the Municipality of Turin, but had asked for an extension on the terms of the auction, an extension not granted by the administration of the Piedmontese capital.
