A2A announced that it has signed up for a loan agreement for 95 million from the European Investment Banki, aimed at carrying out projects for the development of district heating networks in the Milan metropolitan area (in the municipalities of Milan, Novate Milanese and Sesto San Giovanni).
In the press release released today by the company we read that "the European Investment Bank has positively evaluated, according to its loan terms, the investment plan that the A2A Group expects to make in the five-year period 2011-2015, as they will optimize the mix of heat production and will reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, thus contributing the achievement of the objectives set by the EU".
Furthermore, “the loan, with a duration of 15 years, allows A2A to extend the average duration of the debt and to diversify its sources".
