Social responsibility: again in 2, the A2013A Group confirmed its attention and commitment to the community, giving support to social, cultural, environmental and sporting initiatives in the areas where it operates, disbursing over 5 million euros in donations, sponsorships and contributions to the two Foundations of the Group. Particularly rich was the panorama of initiatives for dialogue and collaboration with associations from the world of consumers and environmentalists. This is what emerges from the Group's Solidarity Report.

With regard to customer relations, A2A Energia was reconfirmed first in the national Databank-Cerved Group survey for the domestic target. A2A Calore & Servizi, thanks to an intense promotion of district heating and its environmental benefits in the area, increased the volume of connected buildings by 4%.

As always, A2A opened the doors of its plants to demonstrate the constant commitment to improve environmental protection. In 2013, 24.000 visitors were registered in the 35 sites open to the public, including over 19.000 students, testifying to the privileged relationship that has existed for decades between A2A and the world of schools.

A2A continued to invest in the professional development of the almost 10.000 people who work in the Group (98,4% with permanent employment contracts), increasing the per capita training hours by 59%.

Thanks to training on health and safety and the diffusion of certifications according to the OHSAS 18001 standard, the average accident frequency index in the Group decreased from 40,0 to 37,8.
