A2A, through the subsidiary A2A Energia, and the Siad Group, a gas producing company, have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the creation of a photovoltaic system for the production of renewable energy.
Siad, as part of its efforts to support renewable energy and actively participate in reducing environmental impact, will purchase the renewable energy produced by the plant built by A2A.
15.000 MWh of green energy per year
The photovoltaic system will produce 15.000 MWh of green energy per year, sufficient to cover the consumption of approximately 5.500 families, and will allow us to avoid the emission of approximately 7.000 tons of CO2eq/year. A green energy source that will make Siyad's industrial gas production more eco-sustainable.
Siad aims for sustainability
The initiative is integrated into theis of the International Chemical Group towards sustainability, characterized by the continuous improvement of production processes and the increase in the use of renewable energy sources.
The Siad Group, thanks to its diversified technical skills, contributes to decarbonization with technologies for refficient recovery of CO2 e supports the energy transition through innovations and skills in the hydrogen supply chain.

For A2A, the agreement represents anopportunities to generate value in collaboration with its partners, offering medium-long term solutions to support companies in the decarbonisation process. The new photovoltaic system, thanks to the production of renewable energy, will also help promote the energy transition, a key element of Group Industrial Plan, which aims to promote the sustainable development of the country.
