A2A is still moving on the risk front and, according to Radiocor Plus, is targeting the majority of Consul System, one of the main independent Italian Escos.
The Escos (acronym of Energy Service Company) are companies specialized in energy efficiency: their mission is to carry out restructuring interventions, on end customers and businesses, aimed at reducing energy waste to a minimum. Among Consul System's main clients, names such as Eni, Ntv and Buzzi stand out: the company, according to the latest financial statements filed, closed 2015 with revenues of around 50 million euros and a gross operating profit of 5,5 million. The value of the operation should be around twenty million.
As reported in the latest Letter to the Saver of the Sole 24 Ore, A2A has been probing the Esco market for possible acquisitions for some time. The "industrial" ratio of the operation, in fact, is to follow the guidelines of the industrial plan, which among its cornerstones saw the strengthening of the energy efficiency services chain. Furthermore, A2A aims to offer additional services, thanks to the know-how of Consul System, to its broad platform of industrial customers, evidently rich in a region such as Lombardy.
