But what about the “scent” of truffle that is currently rampant in markets, delicatessens, restaurants and, of course, on Italian tables? Of course, its very particular and intense aroma can be perceived in different ways depending on personal preferences. But if for some people it emanates a delicious and irresistible aroma, capable of stirring gastric juices, for others it can be too strong or even unpleasant.

The novelty of the year among household essences comes from the Alba Fair Authority, which, in collaboration with Euthalia Fragrances and Round, has announced the creation of the first olfactory brand dedicated to the Alba International Truffle Fair. “The exclusive fragrance was created – we read in a note – to represent not only the elegance and refinement of the Alba White Truffle, a world-class excellence and symbol of the territory, but also the scents of the Langhe, and its extraordinary undergrowth perfumes that make this land unique”.
“The Tuber magnatum Pico - reiterates the president of the Alba Fair Authority, Liliana Allena - is certainly one of the most precious products that the land offers and an extraordinary ingredient to enhance the recipes of the food and wine tradition of these hills. But it is much more: the White Truffle of Alba is an icon, it is poetry, it is charm and mystery. Sensations and emotions that are first activated at an olfactory level, masterfully reproduced in the fragrance of Bianco d'Alba”.
A fragrance has been created that does not simply recall the scent of truffles, but transmits the scents of the territory and the bond with nature.
The task was entrusted to Euthalia Fragrances, known for creating iconic olfactory brands for important events. “Creating a fragrance to celebrate the Alba White Truffle, a natural jewel that the whole world envies us,” says Martino Gavazzi, CEO of Euthalia Fragrances, “was an exciting and complex project. We worked for a long time to create a fragrance that did not limit itself to recalling the scent of the truffle, but that could convey the soul of the Langhe: the scents of the undergrowth, the olfactory richness of the territory and its connection with nature.”
The new fragrance will be available to all visitors of the Fair at the official stands inside the Cortile della Maddalena, after the weekend of 12 and 13 October, also on 7 and 8 December and can also be purchased exclusively at the two Round stores.
