A 300-meter table in the street with the cuisine of great chefs: Massa Lubrense celebrates the Mediterranean diet and the gastronomy of the Sorrento peninsula

Over 60 restaurateurs, starred and otherwise, in the square, or rather in the street, in Massa Lubrense, a centre of tourist and gastronomic excellence on the Sorrento peninsula, to participate in “The Table of 300” the event that celebrates haute Mediterranean cuisine and the gastronomic products of the Sorrento peninsula with a long uninterrupted table of over 300 meters that will wind along the main road of the coastal village in front of the town hall.

The event, which benefits from the patronage of the Municipality of Massa Lubrense, was born as territorial marketing project aimed at promoting and rediscovering the 18 villages of Massa. Promotion that will start on the weekend of June 14th and 15th, with guided tours and trekking routes, open to the public but by reservation. The routes will all start from Massa Centro, for involving various hamlets of the country, including Termini, San Francesco and Schiazzano. They will visit ancient lemon groves and you will walk among the olive trees, with the possibility of deepening the knowledge of local cultivars and at the same time learning the Processing and production techniques for limoncello and citrus jams, thanks to the collaboration of the agritourisms “Il Convento” and “Il Giardino di Vigliano”, where guided lunches and tastings will follow, immersed in bucolic settings overlooking the sea. As for the Olive Trees, thanks to the synergy with the Le Colline Lubrensi brand, you can participate in a sensory analysis path of the oil and the harvesting and processing techniques that distinguish the DOP specialties of Massa Lubrense. Followed by a guided tour of the village of Schiazzano and the Church of Santissimo Salvatore, built at the end of the 500th century. To conclude the day: Pizza Class at the restaurant/Pizzeria Da Francesco in Schiazzano and lunch paired with DOP oil from Massa Lubrense.

But the highlight of La Tavola dei 300 will be on June 18th and 19th. The street food evening is scheduled for June 18th, scheduled for the Monticchio hamlet, where the Lubrensi Restaurateurs Association will award the Relais Blu, a 4-star boutique hotel with a 1-Michelin-star restaurant located in Marciano – Termini, and Taverna del Capitano, a historic starred restaurant in Marina del Cantone.

On June 19th, the event will continue with the dinner of the 300. Singer Monica Sarnelli will be the evening's testimonial, and then it will continue with a big outdoor party.

Naturally there will be a moment of charitya, a sector curated and coordinated by restaurateur Alfonso Caputo of the hotel/restaurant Le Sirene in Nerano. Last year, La Tavola dei 300 allowed the collection of 6 thousand euros allocated to the Santobono Hospital. For the 2025 edition, a significant sum will be donated to the project “Children First” of the association “Noi Genitori di Tutti” Onlus founded by mothers of the Land of Fires, who share the pain of having lost their children to cancer; committed to the front line to help other unfortunate mothers and fight the illegal disposal of industrial waste, which has devastated their territory of origin.

"The activities are carried out to protect children's rights - explains Marzia Caccioppoli, President of the association Noi Genitori di Tutti Onlus - First of all in favor of subjects, children and adults, affected by pathologies considered a direct consequence of environmental devastation. Our goal is to spread a culture of respect for the environment and the territory and for the rights of the person. Our association is also present in the Ligurian territory, with members and volunteers who take care of families from Campania who move to Genoa to treat their children at the Giannina Gaslini institute".
