Ubi: one euro for Etruria, Banca Marche and CariChieti

But after taking over the three good banks at a symbolic price, the institute will have to take on a capital increase of 400-500 million euros.

Ubi: one euro for Etruria, Banca Marche and CariChieti

Ubi will buy Banca Etruria, Banca Marche, CariChieti for the symbolic price of one euro. Or rather, the three good banks born last year from the resolution of the old banks with 1,8 billion of new assets paid in by the Resolution Fund, i.e. by the other Italian banks. The fourth, CariFerrara, will go to Bper.

However, UBI will be forced to put 400-500 million in capital increases on the plate after the purchase of the three banks, after they have in turn been recapitalised for 250 million by the Resolution Fund. Last year the fund had received a 1,6 billion bridge loan from a pool of banks, now replaced with the payment of two annuities of contributions to the fund, as requested by Bank of Italy.
