The FS Italiane Group will lend a hand to national tourism. Starting from 14 June a new Trenitalia connection, which is part of the Ferrovie dello Stato, will stop along the coast of Tuscany and Liguria from Milan and Rome. The new connections are part of a broader plan for the development of national tourism, thanks to which it will be possible to rediscover some of our country's beauties.
Furthermore, the new stops will make it possible to distribute tourist flows even in lesser-known but highly attractive cultural and landscape locations.
The goal is to satisfy the seasonal tourist demand towards the main seaside resorts on the entire Ligurian and Tyrrhenian coast, towards the areas of Chiusi, Siena and its lands: the Val di Chiana, the Val d'Orcia, the Amiata and Trasimeno.
For this project was chosen the Frecciarossa 1000, the spearhead of the Trenitalia fleet which will connect the two main Italian cities with the Tyrrhenian coast every day, from Versilia to the Argentario, passing through Liguria, Genoa and the Levante Ligure. A way to facilitate travel from Rome and Milan for those who want to easily reach some of the most beautiful beaches and villages in Italy by train.
The FS Group has chosen Tuscany and Liguria to relaunch national tourism. The Frecciarossa to and from Versilia, the Argentario, the Levante Ligure are among the main innovations of this summer, but not the only ones. The Frecciarossa to and from Chiusi-Chianciano Terme is also back, again from 14 June two new routes will connect the Tuscan town to the main Italian cities served by the high-speed train.
Tickets will be available for purchase in the coming days on all Trenitalia platforms and commercial channels, from the app or website.
All this will be possible thanks to better first and last mile connections with the local area and easy interchange with other means of transport, to encourage people not to use their own vehicles so that the environment can also benefit.
