Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (Cdp) supports it Sustainable Development di Sammontana, a company founded in the 40s in Empoli, in Tuscany, specialized in the production, distribution and marketing of ice cream, pastry products and frozen snacks.
Thanks to financing of 15 million euros by CDP, guaranteed by the Green Guarantee of Sace, Sammontana will create a new ice cream production line high-capacity with cutting-edge technologies.
This investment will allow the company di increase production and strengthen their position market, especially in Italy, as envisaged in Sammontana's 2023-2026 business plan, thanks to new investments in energy efficiency and the green economy.
Improvement of the Colognola ai Colli production site
The new production line and plants will be built in the Colognola ai Colli production site, in the province of Verona, and will stand out for their low environmental impact. This will be possible thanks to the adoption of technologies aimed at improving energy efficiency and the implementation of practices related to the circular economy. These measures will aim to reduce the use of primary raw materials in the production process, making a positive contribution to the fight against climate change.
Sammontana owns three production plants in Italy and has a thousand employees, as well as managing a network of over 200 dealers and distributors.
