Post Office: over 1.500 new hires arrive by 2018

There will be 1.080 permanent hirings of people who work or have worked in the company with fixed-term contracts - In addition, the agreement with the unions provides for 500 hirings of young graduates and 1.126 transformations of the employment relationship from part time to full time

Poste Italiane will take over 1.500 jobs this year. This was announced by the company after signing an agreement for active labor policies with the trade union organizations Slp-Cisl, Slc-Cgil, Uilposte, Failp-Cisal, Confsal Com, Fnc-Ugl Comunicazioni.

In detail, by 2018 there will be 1.080 permanent hires of people who work or have worked in the company on fixed-term contracts. In addition, the agreement provides for the hiring of 500 young graduates to be allocated to post office consultancy rooms and 1.126 conversions of the employment relationship from part time to full time. Finally, voluntary redundancy procedures will be launched nationwide for 363 workers.

The post office and trade unions will meet again in the coming months to establish in detail the active labor policies to be implemented in 2019 and 2020. In the three-year period 2018-2020 a total of around 6 thousand workers will be involved through the stabilization of fixed-term contracts, part-time conversions – full time and new hires, as envisaged in the Deliver 2022 business plan.

"The active policies agreed with the trade union organizations will make it possible to effectively implement the strategies outlined in the 'Deliver 2022' business plan - explains Poste in a note - in particular as regards the new delivery organization, designed to respond to the new needs of citizens and to seize all the opportunities offered by the growth of e-commerce thanks also to greater flexibility and an extension of delivery times".
