The combination of innovation and tradition makes the new account simpler, more convenient, transparent and easily accessible in multi-channel mode. The new features, says a statement from Poste Italiane, aim to further increase the community of BancoPosta account holders, which already has over 7 million customers.
There is free associated with the account the new BancoPosta Card which allows you to make purchases in Italy and abroad in over 200 countries around the world thanks to the Mastercard circuit. The Card also allows you to make online payments in total security thanks to the Mastercard Secure Code service, which each time provides a code to be entered at the time of payment in order to avoid unwanted intrusions. The Card allows you to make contactless purchases in shops and withdraw cash from over 7.200 Postamat ATMs, post offices and bank branches displaying the Mastercard logo.
The new BancoPosta card can be customized according to the needs of the moment with the "My cards" service, available from the app or from the poste.it website. It is possible to change the withdrawal and payment limits, set the geographical area of use, enable or disable online payments, activate or deactivate the contactless function and set the product categories for online purchases; you can also change the PIN to remember it more easily.
Finally, with the new BancoPosta Card, it is possible, when subscribing at the post office or later via the donate.mastercard.com website, to join the Mastercard Priceless Causes micro-donation platform and support the World Food Program "school meals" program of the United Nations to support children in Africa and around the world.
The new BancoPosta account can be managed in multi-channel mode as well as through the network of over 12 post offices, also from your PC via the Poste Italiane website and from your smartphone or tablet thanks to the BancoPosta App which allows you to consult your balance on the go and the movements made, arrange money transfers, pay bills simply by framing the QR code with the camera and top up Postepay cards or the SIM cards of the main telephone operators.
The new Account is convenient: it has a monthly fee of 4 euros which can be canceled if, in addition to receiving a monthly credit (such as salary, pension or a bank transfer of at least 700 euros) you choose three related services (for example , domiciliation of utilities, a credit card and a BancoPosta loan).
All cardholders associated with the Account benefit from the loyalty program BancoPosta Discounts with which it is possible to accumulate discounts from 2% to 50% all year round simply by using the cards in over 28.000 affiliated shops, both "physical" and online: the discount will be credited to the Account when a minimum of 5 euros is reached (or multiples). Customers of the new account will be able to save up to around 280 euros a year by using the card at points of sale participating in the BancoPosta Discounts programme.
