OTB, the international fashion and luxury group headed by Renzo Rosso, received at the Italian Embassy in Beijing un prize for the important role it has played, together with its brands, in contributing to the affirmation of fashion and luxury Made in Italy: since Chinese market. The recognition, called “Award for the contribution of the latest fashion trend in China”, was presented by MonteNapoleone District and the Italian Embassy on the occasion of the 6th edition of the MonteNapoleone Gala Dinner, held in Beijing with the involvement of the Municipality from Milan.

Objective to strengthen the ties between Made in Italy and the Chinese market

The event, which was attended by the Italian Ambassador to Beijing Massimo Ambrosetti, was organized with the aim of strengthening the bond with one of the countries that most appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of Italian products. The initiative took place in the presence of the major representatives of the luxury brands of international fashion, Italian and Chinese institutions and some celebrities and it was the opportunity to award five prestigious awards to companies, including OTB, and people who have contributed to the development of Italian fashion and culture in China.

The growth of the Otb Group in the Asian area

The Otb Group, an acronym that stands for Only The Brave, an Italian holding company that controls the fashion brands Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf and Jil Sander is seeing strong growth in the area Asia Pacific, place where trends destined to become international are born. There China in particular, it has established itself as a key market where the Group is already present with over 100 shops and is continuing to invest to grow further. In 2022 OTB completed an important retail development project in Shanghai, opening three stores of its brands at the same time at the JC Plaza Mall, and continues its expansion by opening an average of 1,5 new stores per week in the country.

Furthermore, with the aim of enhancing the new talents of fashion in China and help give them visibility on the international scene, Otb supports numerous events and contests, including Yu Prize. For the latest edition of the prize, Otb promoted the participation of Yu Prize at Paris Fashion Week with "The New Wave of the Chinese Fashion", a cocktail to celebrate the 11 emerging Chinese designers finalists of the 2021 and 2022 editions of the contest.
